#Reduce Water Hammers

When the fast-moving stream of water traveling down a narrow pipe. In order to reduce water hammer, you need to restore all the air chambers with air. You can use below steps to restore it:

• First, Shut off main water supply valve of your home
• Open the highest faucet inside
• Now discover the lowest faucet on the property which is usually on the first floor somewhere outside or in the basement. Now, turn it on to completely drain all water from the pipes.
• As water is completely drained from the piping, then turn off the lowest faucet and again open the main valve.

#Make tight the loose mounting straps

Whenever the water hammer is high, it can cause pipe-mounting strap is loose. Make sure that the straps connection are strong and tight enough.

Not to use:

• galvanized plumber’s tape or
• galvanized straps on copper pipe.

Metals contact one another, electrolysis may occur leading to a plumbing leak.

#Adjust Water pressure:

High water pressure can lead to the pipes noisy and more banging. Maintain water pressure using a water-pressure regulator or pressure-reducing valve.
