Consider the following

#1. Keep bottles of drinking water in the fridge

Keeping bottles in the refrigerator/ fridge helps in keeping water cold so you do not have to run the tap to get it cold. Or put it in the freezer and let it melt. Or better yet, use ice. The ice you put in your gin and tonics can also be used to cool water.

#2. Find out leaks and try to fix it

The main reason for getting high water bills is due to the unknown and unexpected leaks.  Check out probable leaks and try to fix yourself if not then call to Plumber Toronto at 416-383-7378 for fixing.

#3 Use your dishwasher

The dishwasher takes or uses less water than washing by yourself so use dishwater to cut off the water bills.

#4. Repair Faucet Leaks and install faucet Aerator

A leaky faucet can waste 1000-2000 gallons of water a year (National Sanitation Foundation).

Faucet Aerator screws onto the bottom of your faucet to reduce water flow, without reducing water pressure. Note: If you have a newer faucet, it may already have one built-in.

#5. Take Shorter Showers

Aim for a five-minute shower. With a low-flow showerhead, you will use 12.5 gallons of water or less. Compare that to 37.5 gallons for a 15-minute shower, and the savings is pretty easy to see.

#6.  Use Shower Instead of Taking Baths

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, it takes 35 gallons of water to fill the average bathtub. Switch to a five-minute shower with a low-flow showerhead, and you will save 22.5 gallons each time you scrub up!

#7. Collect Rain Water for Plants

Attach rain barrels to the end of your gutter drain spouts to collect rainwater. Then, use it to water your plants and wash your car. Consequently, such use can dramatically save your water bills.

Hope you will use the mentioned points to reduce water bills. IF you have high water bills time and again, do not hesitate to call us at 416-383-7378.
